Today’s class we sat amongst the apricot and plum trees painting flowers and learning all about the wonderful fruit trees we have here in the Okanagan.

We then collected rose petals and lavender and made petal potions…

…and little felt flowers.

Once the children had painted their flowers they collected leaves to paint, picking fresh apricots along the way.

Many unripe plums had fallen beside the art table and the children decided to paint the plums too.

One child placed her plum back in the tree.

We thanked the trees for all the gifts they share with the birds and the insects and most of all for the glorious shade and delicious fruit they had provided us with today.

Thank you trees – we love you!
