A dear friend had gifted me a tray of dried gourds – perfect for tiny bird and fairy homes with my outdoor class.

Imaginations soared, joy and laughter filled the air  – hearts sang and spirits danced as the children created the most beautiful bird and fairy homes.

The exercises we follow in my nature art program are designed to engage mind, body and spirit, which in turn helps the child, grow into a whole being.

The spirit needs to be recognized, nourished, encouraged; the imagination needs space and seeds of wonder to nurture, and the body needs fresh air and exercise.

Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all – Aristotle

The power of Imagination

Later that evening …

Orange Moon and her little fairy friends found a few of the left over gourds from class and got to work decorating their very own gourds.

Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature – Gerard De Nerval.

“For those of us that grew up going out into the wilds of the world…we got into our souls a sense of beauty.”

-Douglas Tompkins-

I hid behind a tree stump and watched with delight. The child within is ever present when I am in nature.

Orange Moon and her little friends, the Alpine flower fairies all stopped what they were doing to sit quietly and appreciate the beautiful sunset.

Sunsets have a way of melting our hearts.

To witness pure, simple beauty Cultivates Gratitude.

“Beauty awakens the soul to act.” ~Dante Alighieri

To walk, dance and celebrate a life of beauty, we must first be able to see the beauty in all life. Opening our hearts to be thankful helps us to see and experience the beauty in everything, in all life.

The desire to communicate in creative ways is part of our DNA. To be creative is part of who we are. We are all highly creative, soulful beings full of love and beauty.  Nature’s beauty cultivates gratitude and nurtures our creativity and understanding of our inter-connectedness. We begin to remember that we are one. When we express ourselves creatively and with gratitude – we are speaking with our souls – a language so pure and beautiful. This is our very essence. This is Beauty. This is love. This is compassion. And I believe this is what will save us…

The heart of human identity is the capacity and desire for birthing. To be is to become creative and bring forth the beautiful. John O’Donohue

Wishing you all a beautiful – fun filled week full of love and creativity, love and peace Marghanita x
