“During the summer, I like to play outside and play everywhere. I want to go in the jacuzzi and eat birthday cake. Lie down in the grass and look at the moon. Eyes at the stars and see if there’s a wild moon star. I like to play with puppies in the summer. I like to throw beach balls with my brother and my mom and dad and my whole family. I like to build circle sandcastles with seashells. I collect them from the beach in my bucket. And I get water in the bucket for my castle. At the shallow pool, I stand, spin, and then fall soft and warm in the water. I get warm after, when I lie on the hot cement.”
Oh Michelle, I think every little person would love to join your daughter playing with the puppies, watching the moon and having all that fun at the beach. Oh for warm fun pact summer days. I can’t wait. Thank you for sharing. What a delight to read.
What a beautifully designed blog and a wonderful post to enjoy. My daughter is 10 yrs old, we live on a farm and she loves to play in the farm yard with the sheep dogs. We have 4 collies. She also loves to ride up and down the farm road on her scooter and enjoys walks in the fields sitting amongst the tall grasses and listening to the combines roar through the barley crop around. She is autistic and very much an outside girl, enjoying the freedom of the great outdoors.

Thank you for your lovely comments and sharing with us your daughters wonderful outdoor life. How magical to live on a farm. Although we lived next to a farm back in Scotland it’s not quite the same as running one-would love to have had our own farm. I am so please your daughter has the freedom of the outdoors, experiencing all that “magic” nature has to offer. This is such a lovely comment to include in the “Let’s Go Outside” booklet-thank you Crystal.
My son and I love to head to California in the summer. We lived there for many years, but now live where I grew up – South Florida. It gets very hot here, just about now in May, and we start craving the hills and cliffs above the ocean, the fog as it rolls in to the San Francisco area, and rivers to jump in.
All year long we are outside in Florida and especially love the winter months, but anticipate our summer journeys to California so that we can hike the hills and enjoy the cool temperatures.
My favorite summer activity is swimming!
