This is one of the most exciting times to be alive…CREATIVITY is required in order for us to move forward. The creativity process is magical, enchanting and ancient. Our cave-dwelling ancestors wanted to share their stories with us through their art.

Nature and Art are the very essence of who I am. Both Nature and Creativity are woven into our DNA. I believe we are all creative and that everyone has the ability to create art and at any age!

EARTH PAINT

I have to share with you this wonderful family business who make eco friendly earth paint…whats’ so exciting about this paint is that it is produced using the same process our cave-dwelling ancestors did more than 100,000 years ago…I LOVE THIS!!!!!

The Children’s Earth Paint Kit is an organic, eco-friendly paint kit made from primarily natural earth pigments (pure clay)

The kit contains:

Six colors of hand-crafted earth paints – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, brown (makes 120 oz. of paint when mixed!)
Six biodegradable/ compostable mixing cups
An Earth Paints booklet.
The booklet includes mixing instructions, nature-based art activities, information about the use of earth paints in ancient times, and more.

CREATING…

The whole idea of creating art from something from the earth is so organically delicous for me and sharing this thrill with the children is even more magical.

Children are amazed when they realise they are painting with earth’s (dirt) clay.

It’s fun mixing the paint, watching the texture and colour change.

My first instinct was to get the children to go and hunt for rocks and pebbles. I wanted them to touch and feel the rocks, imagine how old they were and what stories they could tell. How magical to think the children are telling yet another story through their own creativity. What a beautiful journey of exploring.

Art for children is all about the experience of exploration – not the end product. As with nature, art is a vital part of childhood development.

I have an enormous amount of admiration for this family run business. Thank you so much for providing us all with Mother Earth’s paint – what a gift – allowing us all to create our own stories to share.
