I love to get parents to join us for certain nature art activities. Earth in my hands is one such activity. We begin by collecting our very own pebble or stone.
We then begin to paint the Earth stone using blue to represent the sea, green (and yellow) for land and white for clouds.
As we paint, we talk about the land and the mountains, the sea and rivers, the sky and the clouds…
Some children kneel, some sit and others stand while we share our stories as we paint.
“The planet does not need more ‘successful people’. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.” ~Dalai Lama
I believe we are all creatives, healers and peacemakers; we just need to rediscover what we may have forgotten.
All age groups can participate in this beautiful nature-art activity.
Once our Earth rocks are completely dry we all sit down on the ground and create a circle.
We then hold our little Earths in our hands, close our eyes and we share a beautiful prayer all about the sacredness of our little planet Earth and how deeply connected we all are to one another and all living things. We are grateful for our ever-giving, awe-inspiring little planet.
We Protect What We Love
We open our eyes and smile at each other with a full heart. We all feel a deep sense of oneness and love.
Wishing you all a beautiful and creative week in nature, love and peace Marghanita x
