It All Begins with love…
“Educating the Mind without educating the Heart is no education at all.” -Aristotle
By creating conditions that allow children to connect with one another and other living things -will help create positive relationships, fostering compassion and love for one another and the natural world.
In our outdoor classroom we watch in awe as the Dragonflies display their acrobatic skills. We even manage to get up close to one and see how fragile it’s wings look yet they are strong and powerful, allowing the dragonfly to fly great distances.
We learn that we too can be fragile one day and strong the next.
We learn when someone feels fragile, we can show compassion.
We understand that the Dragonflies are part of the circle of life too and we begin to feel a connection and a deep love for the Dragonflies and one another.
Nature Cultivates Gratitude
We appreciate the dragonflies beauty. We are grateful for their love.
These multi sensory experiences are the foundation to which a love affair with nature is built upon. These children will want to return again and again to witness the beauty of the Dragonflies and the abundant wonders of our beautiful and enchanting natural world.
I believe in nurturing the whole child; body, mind and spirit.
I leave you with these words from Dalai Lama” Our need for love – Ultimately, the reason why love and compassion bring the greatest happiness is simply that our nature cherishes them above all else. The need for love lies at the very foundation of human existence. It results from the profound interdependence we all share with one another.”
Wishing you a beautiful and creative week in nature, love and peace Marghanita x
