Failing Helps Us Grow…

Three years ago we took out a second mortgage against our home to invest in product for our business – then the recession hit and we lost our house and had our car repossessed. We ended up having to bike for miles to get our shopping (sometimes not even having enough money to buy basics such as milk and bread).

Yet through this dark episode I found enlightenment

“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper or more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.” – Dr. Brené Brown

Reborn, I found comfort and strength in my new faith and an inner happiness I had never experienced before. I also appreciated my friends, real friends, real people who do not judge you by the house you have or the car you drive but who you are as a person.

I believe it is these chapters in our lives that often give us the most valuable experiences and positive growth. Experiencing failure makes us more compassionate and loving, and increases our capacity to make a difference in the world.

Learning as we go…

My dear friends, I bring to your attention that the time has run out on funding the book project: “Garden of Love”. We did not reach our financial target which means no funds will be gifted to the project.

As much as I am disappointed, I am truly grateful for having been gifted the opportunity to meet so many beautiful kindred-spirits who are as passionate about keeping the enchantment of childhood alive as I am. In this last month I have learned so much.

I have learned how incredibly beautiful and compassionate others are…your love and support melts my heart and makes my spirit dance and offers hope for the future of our children and our awe-inspiring little planet.

During this last month, I have had the pleasure of talking with the most colourful and inspiring of beings. They have openly shared not just their wonderful childhood memories with me but their hardships too.

Sharing these precious and intimate memories have bonded us in a deep and meaningful way which I know will seep into the book and create beautiful magic. Reminding us: we are all one, that we all suffer and by sharing our stories it helps us to understand ourselves and our place in the world.

Fear of failure for some, prevents us from following our dreams and passions. Fear of failing is failure in itself.

Excited by all the possibilities!

This incredible short chapter in my life has given me new clarity and an eagerness to create a way in which I can share all these magical childhood memories with the world.

Failure gives you the best chance of becoming who you need to be

Take Winston Churchill as an example: His parents thought he was “sub-normal.” He was expelled from school and his teachers described him as “mentally slow, unsociable and a drip forever in foolish dreams.”

Everything has its own time and the book will evolve when the time is right and not before…there are obviously other plans for me in this present chapter that is unfolding…life is full of surprises…thats what makes this mystical journey so exciting. With a new perspective and endless passion for what I believe to be right in this world…I will continue to embrace this new chapter and work on the “Garden of Love” allowing it to evolve and grow at its own pace….sharing with you, new chapters and illustrations as they unfold and once I have enough completed,  I will approach a publisher or an alternative funding source for the printing costs.

Thank you once again for all your love and support and sharing your childhood memories with me.

To walk, dance and celebrate a life of beauty, we must first be able to see the beauty in all life – Orange Moon helps us to see and experience the beauty in everything through sharing her journey.

Here is an opportunity for us to try a different method…as the great inventor Thomas Edison said” Failure to get the results you wanted is not a negative thing; it is simply an opportunity to try a different method. It is also the opportunity to start again.

Mistakes and failures make us HUMAN! They help us grow and blossom, gifting love and hope. Hope keeps us going and love is the reason we are ALIVE. I am happy to be human and happy and truly grateful to have you all in my life, celebrating this amazing and enchanting journey, discovering and learning as we go.
