Bike to school and work week here in the Okanagan. 10th -16th May
My favorite all time gift from my parents was a second hand bicycle for my 8th birthday. My father sprayed the bike frame purple and hand painted my name on the crossbar. I cherished that bike and had the most amazing adventures on it. (Sorry no photographs -probably in a trunk in my parents home in Scotland).
Sam and I try to bike home from school at least twice a week.
My family love to bike…Mountain Bike!
As soon as our children were able to sit up, they were strapped into the baby seats of our bikes. Fifteen years on and they’re still loving it!
Bikes give you the opportunity to explore and discover new places.
SO WHY BIKE….Here’s my 5 reasons:
So whatever age your children are, why not give it a go.. they’ll LOVE IT!!!

My husband gave be a light blue Electra cruiser for my first mother’s day and it was one of my favorite gifts ever. Now it has a baby seat on the front and a hook up for a trailer on the back so I can cart my kiddos around. We love riding around town or down to the river. These days it is almost impossible to get my three year old off his balance bike. He can ride forever…..
