The thick lustrous dark green grass invites me to walk barefoot. Feeling rooted to the earth, my feet are tickled by it’s springy blades making me want to dance. The child within me, runs across the lawn trying to catch a Swallowtail butterfly but it flutters out of reach, up into the magnificent flowerbeds of the enchanted garden.

Blooms of all different shapes and sizes burst into a rainbow of colour, mother nature painting the most exquisite canvas. Blackbird song dominates nature’s delightful symphony.

I feast my eyes on the most beautiful nest I have ever encountered, nestling 4 identical baby blue eggs.

A dragonfly flashes in front of me. Its beautiful shimmering wings and metallic body catch the sun. I sit up to be entertained by its incredible acrobatic skills. There is a sweet smell of pine in the air and I feel at peace, at one with nature.

From a distance I see another beautiful creature go about his work. I am intrigued by this man’s gentleness as he tends to his garden, caring for each little flower, tree, bush, seed and insect. In his garden, he allows dandelions to grow amongst the flowers. A fern and a tree sapling are left to grow and flourish in a wall crevice. Native grasses dance in the gentle summer breeze. Slow and silent, he sees beauty in everything. I am in awe of his compassion and tenderness.  The joy of life moves with every step he takes. He has a spiritual energy that flows with such grace.

I wander to the woods in the garden,I am enchanted by their magic.

This magical garden arouses all my senses.

The sweet perfumed roses…

…the powdery pink rose near the entrance to the house catches my attention. The colour is exquisite but it’s the lemon rose that I fall in love with…

… it has a sophisticated elegance, delicate, almost fragile. It’s detail is mesmerizing.

My love affair with Mother Nature deepens and I am in intoxicated by it.

The buzz of the honey bees, the hum of the humming birds, the dancing flowers and the whispering trees. I am in awe of its beauty, its love, its sensuality.

Each moment in the garden is unique. It is like seeing everything as if it were for the first time. Nature spirits dance happily in this nature haven.

I look forward to Spring and watching this enchanting garden wake up from it’s Winter sleep.

Winter allows us time to remember. Although everything appears to be frozen or dead, life is being created deep inside.
