A glorious weekend spent with family and nature.
On Sunday a squirrel joined us for lunch. Thankfully Prince our Flatcoat Retriever was flat out after a long run in the woods and didn’t notice the furry little creature.
A garden is is a an amazing outdoor classroom. Our youngest Sam took this picture of the squirrel below. The natural world is fueling his imagination and with our new photo lens he’s eager to capture every moment on camera.
Squirrels have always been a fascination for me. They are incredibly clever and so cheeky.
In fact, my first picture book series Toffee the Highland Cow features a fluffy little squirrel who can play the flute.
