Far away from the wilds of my BC Mountain life, I feel a stranger in my home city.

I long for the peace and familiarity of the forest and all it’s knowing – it takes time to find a new rhythm to cope with the chaos and noise of a city.

Thankfully, Edinburgh is one of the greenest cities I know – making it easy to find a quite space to just be.

This beautiful nature haven is Princess Street Gardens and it’s right in the centre of the city. It’s where I used to take my lunch break when I worked in the city many moons ago.

The gentleness of the Autumnal colours of the Rowan, Horse Chestnut, Hawthorn and Oak make me smile and I feel the urge to be creative. Gathering the fallen leaves- my spirit begins to dance.

I deeply appreciate how precious and sacred these green spaces are in the city. As the world’s cities continue to grow, continuing to value green space in cities is vital.

Wishing you all a beautiful and creative week in nature wherever you are, love and peace Marghanita x
