Over the years it has steadily come back to life.

Forest reborn

New-forest-3

A new forest sprouting through the old.

Today on our family treck through the forest, in certain areas, we witnessed a forest being reborn, bright green firs bursting with life. Stark contrast to the dark, lifeless charcoal limbs in the backdrop.

Young Aspens quivered in the light breeze. Samuel commented on how he liked the light leaves on the  Aspen trees. He now knows the Trembling Aspen are also known as Quaking Aspen, Quivering Aspen, Quaking Asp, Golden Aspen, Mountain Aspen, and Trembling Poplar.
