There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing –Scandinavian proverb
Wrapped up warm, children will happily play and learn outdoors for hours.
Nature Fun All Year Round – Nature In A Jar
At this time of year there are still little pieces of treasure to be found. We hunted for rose-hips and berries and to our delight, we found a few little flowers that had survived the frost and snow.
We used large glass jars to collect our treasure, making it a little easier to manage with snow gloves on.
Happier and Healthier
Playing outdoors builds up their immunity and helps to fight off those nasty coughs and colds.
We Are All Connected
And the children develop a closer connection with our natural world.
There was a tiny sprinkling of snow on the ground, just enough to make the tiniest snowmen before we headed indoors.
Inside, we transplanted our treasure into little jars and added a ribbon.
A rather delightful gift to receive don’t you think?
That was last week.
This week, we have an abundance of snow, creating the most spectacular Winter Wonderland. So we’ll be out building forts and snowmen, making ice ornaments, painting in the snow with natural food colouring and repairing Fairy Houses. Whatever the weather, you’ll find us playing, learning and dancing outdoors!
Wishing you a week full of awe and wonder with our beautiful and enchanting Mother Earth, love and peace Marghanita xx
