What kind of relationship do you have with nature?
Did you spend a lot of time outdoors in the natural world when you were a child?
Growing up in the Scottish countryside, I explored, and gathered from the natural world. I touched, held, and responded to things, in an intimate and personal way. Gaining a sense of connection with these living beings and the surrounding natural environment. I continue to view and look at the world in this way, revelling in the majestic wilderness.
As an artist, I look at nature, as I did as a child, with a sense of wonder, fascination and connection. Seeing with heart and soul. Seeing everything as if it were the first time, with an open heart. The natural world is constantly whispering to my soul.

I still view the world as I did as a child with a sense of wonder and awe...this flows into my art. “Earth Child”, my latest painting, represents a Child of Nature. We are Water, Earth, Wind and Spirit - There is no separation. Inspired by my time down at the sea, in Crail, Fife Scotland (my homeland) surrounded by the raw, wild elements, how can one not be inspired.

Nature is my Medicine, My greatest Teacher and a constant source of Inspiration for my Art
I wish to share with the world a little mystery and magic inspired by the wonders of the Natural World. I believe every child is born with an innate need to feel a connection to the Natural World and we, as adults, have a responsibility to share our incredible Mother Earth with the children our lives.
