Sit among the cornflowers

The Healing Power of Quiet Moments

June 10, 2023

In Quiet Moments our brains change: just breathing deeply can have an immediate positive effect. As we breathe in and out, the movement of our lungs and diaphragm helps our body stop secreting stress hormones.

Inspired by the cornflowers that are in full bloom right now here in the Okanagan, BC. It is the colour of these whismsical flowers that whisper to me and invite me to sit and just breathe. Breathe in the beauty, the love, the healing energy of the wild flowers.

Among the flowers, I relax and let go of all my worries and become one with the wild flowers, sky, creator; earth beneath my bare feet; when we spend time immersed in nature, our hearts open and we realize we too, are part of Nature.

These beautiful quiet moments are a soothing balm for my weary soul and inspire me to be creative.

"Reconnection to the natural world is fundamental to human health, well-being, spirit, and survival." ~ Richard Louv

Healing with Nature

Sit among the wild flowers

and breathe in the sweet scent

and wild song

of our Mother Earth

Soothing balm for your

weiry soul

Stay a while and you too

will remember; you are part

of nature.

I believe we are born with an innate need to feel a connection with the natural world. When we feel a separation from nature, we feel a separation from ourselves which can effect our mental health. Spending time in nature opens our hearts and reminds us of our deep rooted connection to Mother Earth and how important our relationship with nature is for our over all health and wellbeing.

Sending you love and healing energy from the wilds of British Columbia, peace Marghanita x
